About Citi Signs

Citi Signs was founded as a partnership in 1995 by T.P. Rizzatto and CK Dunbar. It was then sold to Mr Ken Govender and Brett Scarpone. In 2001 Mr Ken Govender continued with his accounting practice and Mr Brett Scarpone became the sole proprietor. In 2006 Mr Scarpone decided to emigrate and ownership was passed onto AFA Signage represented by Ismail Hoosen and Fatima Ismail. Mr Brett Scarpone remains employed on a consultancy basis.

For the first four years of business the partners were mainly focused on vinyl signage and no specific product. IT was more of a learning period.In 1999 we started producing engrave items which included name badges and machine tagging for Coca Cola , Unilever etc. By 2000 we started manufacturing silkscreening products.

Our reputation grew and in 2000 we had approximately 10 listed companies on our books which included Pick ‘n Pay , Coca Cola, Unilever , FFS Refineries,  Engen etc. Our strong business relationship developed and we were now producing more of a variety of items.
